Welcome to the Remarkable Dance Company (fondly known as “The Remarkables”)—The Mill Arts Centre’s dynamic dance troupe for the over-50s in Banbury and the surrounding areas.

About Us

Since our formation in 2017, with the generous support of Arts Council England (ACE), The Remarkables have been dedicated to providing a unique and enriching dance experience for our members. We are proud to offer an inclusive space where creativity, passion, and skill come together under the guidance of professional choreographers.

Previous Projects

The Remarkables have had the privilege of working with esteemed dance companies and choreographers, including Uchenna Dance, Yorke Dance, and Chhaya Collective. These collaborations have allowed our dancers to explore diverse styles and techniques, resulting in the creation of memorable curtain-raiser performances.

Most recently in 2023, under the artistic direction of renowned choreographer Luca Braccia, The Remarkables reached new heights with the development of a full-scale dance piece, Let’s Play Forever, that captivated audiences on The Mill Stage. This milestone performance not only showcased the talent and dedication of our dancers but also underscored our commitment to pushing creative boundaries.
