Yin Yoga (Spring 2025)

The energy of spring is that of optimism and the emerging cycle of re-growth and new beginnings. A seasonally appropriate Yin practice can support this energy as we emerge from winter into spring sunshine and the attendant optimism that radiates from nature. On a physical level, Yin works deeply into connective tissue which typically responds well to longer held and often supported, mat-based postures (or shapes). It is therefore, suitable for all levels – but if you have any specific questions, please get in touch, before booking.

Whilst this three hour practice can be experienced as a restorative treat for the physical body or from an energetic perspective – or both – it certainly isn’t necessary to have a deep appreciation of either to simply enjoy it. Props, including bolsters and blocks will be offered to help you settle in but do bring along your own favourite props, if you have them. The extensive use of props and compassionate observation, give this practice a strong person centred ‘Restorative accent’. A thirty minute break will divide two separately themed cycles of nourishing, blended practice.

Age recommendation for adult courses is 19+.
All adult courses are created in partnership with Abingdon and Witney College and co-funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency. As we are in receipt of government funding, students will be asked to complete an enrolment form and evaluation diary for monitoring purposes.
